MSG - Round 6 - Results

There were pre race whispers among the ranks that size matters and this round was “cute” but didn’t really touch the sides. To be fair it was intended to be a recovery ride for what is to come next round however it turned into a slip n slide, reminiscent of round 4 down GBDH which kept the whisperers on their toes.

The groupetto stayed relatively tight and good sportsmanship was observed through the control check points as Tony Hutcheson proceeded to tear the back legs off and keep the youth in check. Almost everyone made it off the hill on their bikes.

Slick river rambles and a hot pace made for an entertaining chase while being sprayed with the pungent essence of Heathcote. Somewhere we lost a few good men to mechanicals but they were not forgotten. In fact they made it to the pub in first place. Brad Rooney walks away with the win this round for his strategic mechanical as well as a bonus visit to the pub only hours before the event started.

In a strange turn of events not one penalty or DQ was issued this round….
